Hippo Digital and The Data Shed rebrand following acquisition

The Data Shed, the award-winning data consultancy set up in 2013 by Anna Sutton and Ed Thewlis, and Hippo Digital, the digital services partner have rebranded following The Data Shed acquisition by Hippo Digital in March. The group is now known as “Hippo” and the data services arm will be known in the market as “Hippo Data” as it continues to expand.

Founded in Leeds in 2016, Hippo has 400 digital services specialists working across 6 UK offices. It is a rapidly growing full-service digital services partner with a proven track record of delivering user-centred digital services for major public and private sector clients, including the NHS and Government Digital Service (GDS). The recent acquisition of The Data Shed further enhanced Hippo expertise in data. Hippo has experienced 30% year-on-year growth and last year’s revenue was approaching £40m.

Liz Whitefield, co-founder and Executive Director of Hippo said: “We acquired The Data Shed to bolster our data capabilities and have been working together over the last few months to integrate the two businesses.
